We've finally got some concrete proof that the X48 chipset is real and our sources have told us that the chipset should be with motherboard manufacturers before the end of the year. Retail boards should arrive in January if all goes to plan.
Aparently the whole rumour started some time back when Anandtech got their hands on a Gigabyte X38 board and Asus went out and said that they'd have something faster based on the X48 chipset.
But until now there hasn't been any proof of such a chipset really existing, but we've managed to get our hands on an official logo from Intel. No, this isn't someones photoshop joke as it comes from a reliable source.
明年一月可能會零售X48晶片組 ,X48晶片組正式支援1600Mhz FSB與DDR3-1600 ,其餘規格與X38相同
