在記憶體、快閃記憶體市場佔有一席的A-DATA威剛科技，近來雖然受到市場上對DRAM產業不安訊息的困擾，不過在新產品的研發跟推出時程上，可是一點也不受景氣寒冬的影響（有投資才有成果，這是必然的），繼之前搶先業界，推出支援X58晶片組的「三通道記憶體」之後，在目前最紅的應用--固態硬碟SSD上面，也推出了新的產品「XPG」系列，主打「Extreme、Performance、Gear」（極限、效能、玩家良伴）三大主軸。這次Edward也提前拿到了威剛即將推出的新產品：A-DATA「XPG」固態硬碟SSD 192GB，在這邊先為大家搶先曝光一下。

從測試的成績來看，威剛這款XPG SSD 192GB，同樣是屬於MLC顆粒的產品。雖然一般玩家對於SLC、MLC兩者孰優孰劣，仍有一定程度的歧見，不過在這款產品的測試結果來看，採用了JMicron控制器的威剛XPG SSD 192GB，依然提供了相當快速的讀寫速度，在讀取/寫入測試當中，分別可達170MB/s以及100MB/s（而且還是剛剛好 XD 一點也不多），速度比起目前主流的產品，還要再快上一些，並具備mini-USB Port的設計，整體而言算是一款表現相當OK的產品。不過眼尖的玩家也會注意到寫入部份的起伏，這在MLC顆粒的產品中，目前仍是無解的問題，如果只是一般應用，其實影響並不十分明顯，測試過程中也都能保持順暢，如果玩家們有意購入SSD固態硬碟，建議先檢視自身需求之後，再來選購會是比較明智的選擇。
From the test result, we know that the A-DATA XPG SSD 192GB is using MLC Flash as the storage space, although the enthusiast have different comments on the SLC/MLC, but as the performance testing, the XPG SSD 192GB with JMicron controller still have a stable performance in the testing, the speed can reach the offical stated 170MB/s in read and 110MB/s in write (with ATTO Disk Benchmark), in the normal usage, this gear can meet most of the demands. But some user may find a vibration issue in the writing test, but for now it is the MLC limitation, just for you guys as reference.
