Taipei, Taiwan, November 15, 2006 – ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), the worldwide leader of motherboards, today announced motherboards that support Intel's latest Quad-Core processors.

"As the leading motherboard manufacturer, our customers have come to expect the latest solutions from us," said Joe Hsieh, Director of ASUS Motherboard Business. "Our series of Quad-Core ready motherboards once again proves our leadership position for the newest and most advanced processors."

ASUS Motherboards Support High-Performance Quad-Core CPU
Being the worldwide motherboard leader, ASUS today offers a wide range of high-performance motherboards that can take advantage of Intel's latest Quad-Core processors. Providing awesome performance for today's and tomorrow's thread-intensive games and applications, the cutting-edge Quad-Core processors offer a significant performance boost while providing an overall more energy efficient platform.

Extreme Performance for Games and Applications
Tests show that a Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core processor running on an ASUS motherboard (P5WDH) resulted in PCMark05 and 3DMark06 scores that are 25.6% and 9.4% higher than when running a similarly clocked Core 2 Duo processor with two cores. This undoubtedly shows that a combination of ASUS' motherboards with Intel's latest Core2 Extreme Quad-Core CPU produces extreme and unrivalled performance.

Quad-Core Ready Motherboards
Below are ASUS' motherboards that are currently Quad-Core ready. ASUS will always stay in step with the latest developments and provide hardware and firmware for optimal Quad-Core performance and functionality. More Quad-Core Ready ASUS motherboards are expected to be announced soon.
