Nvidia GT300最晚將會延遲到2011年第一季?

Nvidia's decision to push back the launch of its next-generation flagship GT300 (Fermi) GPU to the first quarter of fiscal 2011 (January 26-April 26, 2010) is unlikely to affect the company's performance for the remaining part of 2009, according to industry sources in Taiwan.

Nvidia will ramp Fermi for three different product lines: GeForce, Quadro and Tesla in the first quarter of fiscal 2011, said Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of Nvidia, during a recent conference call with financial analysts. Huang's statement means that Nvidia will only be able to start shipping its Fermi-based GPUs in 2010, instead of the end of 2009 as originally planned, the sources pointed out.

Supplies of AMD's Radeon HD 5000-series GPUs currently remain tight as yields of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC's) 40nm node have not yet reached expected levels, inhibiting AMD's chance to seriously undermine Nvidia's sales at present, explained the sources.

However, Nvidia may see its market share begin to wane if it delays the launch of GT300 to April 2010, because TSMC has accelerated the improvement of its 40nm process and AMD is expected to launch entry-level Radeon HD 5600/5300 GPUs in the first quarter of 2010, the sources noted.

當然在GT300很強大的晶片,不過各位可以注意到一點
他的體積有點太大了!自然良率上不來!會延遲並不是很無法相信的事情!
這也代表兩三件事情
1.NV第一次真真正正處於在被打的狀況下
2.ATI 5系列的晶片暫時不會玩跳水!
3.NV應該會跳水了
