Fermi再一發,專業繪圖卡Quadro 4000亮相
上個月NVIDIA推出了完整版的Fermi,擁有512SP的GF110。代號多了10%,核心數量卻只多了32個,雖然這是因為原來的計畫包山包海包很大,而且NVIDIA對於新製程的掌握度不夠所造成的,卻也總算有了個完成體。這樣的結果對於一年前黃sir的承諾雖然跳針跳票跳很大,可是也能夠對大家有個交代。而在專業繪圖卡的市場,除了上次介紹過的Quadro 5000之外,同時推出的還有Quadro 4000,就在這完成版的GF100+10推出的時刻,讓大家也看看NVIDIA高階的專業繪圖卡Quadro 4000吧。(圖多看不到請重整)

想當然爾,Quadro 4000身為三當家的話,他的對手應該就是FirePro V7800,不過身為過度閹割的GF100核心,4000能夠表現到什麼程度呢?

從規格面來看,256SP在桌上型產品當中是打著燈籠也找不到對應的型號,可是應該可以推測是屬於465等級的晶片。SP數量和核心頻率與5000相比約為七成,效能的表現也都落在這個區間,算是有一分規格就有一分表現。但4000在面對同級的競爭對手V7800時,除了SPEC viewperf之外,於新的繪圖API(OpenGL 4.0和DX11)測試項目中,就不如5000那般有耀眼的表現,更別提一般的OpenGL項目了。
而在溫度以及耗電量表現的部份,單槽的設計限制了4000的散熱能力,所以全速的時候4000的溫度到達91度之譜(還在105度以下,不用怕),如果採用和5000一樣的雙槽風扇可能會好很多,不過這樣一來產品定位就會出現問題,這應該也是兩害相權取其輕的結果吧。
GF100完整版對半砍的規格讓4000擁有了超越前代上位產品的效能,可是產品定位的規格設計限制,讓4000在使用上帶來一些隱憂,雖然工作站產品強調的是工作穩定性,但過高的溫度卻可能成為一個不定時的未爆彈。 買不起..
