I.前言    2017年可說是近五年來硬體市場變動最大的一年,自3月起AMD發表一系列的Zen架構CPU,涵蓋了伺服器、桌面、筆電市場,而Intel也不得不好好處理這個"久違"的市場危機,僅僅只有4核心設計的消費級i7,低功耗版本更只有雙核心的設計,面對AMD CPU全面翻倍的帳面規格,Intel也不得不在8月時抓住AMD產品發表的空檔,發布了第八代Intel處理器,並由Kabylake Refresh的i7/i5 U系列打頭陣,核心配置翻倍,繼續佔領著AMD早已缺席許久的Ultrabook市場,而今天我們的重點就在Kabylake Refresh出來的i7-8550U。
II.老架構新配置,核心不夠就再加下去

XI.7z壓縮效能測試https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/Nqii96AfyLmfa1glL1rMjl4cQfN06Y8m3J5KffLlcrcVFnP0xReN0v9Yz95XH9XlInz-cn1vqU_ebblWeqXAtGZec2miuPp2H60ZfZ53hYDW4QBCK0Xq4SbMQL-oDcU1dYFo4OI3I7-8550U 壓縮效能測試:18256MIPS                                    XII.小結-多工更有優勢,力拼桌面級CPU這次I7-8550U的核心數量翻倍,就連L3 Cache也向桌面級看齊,以同樣的價格能夠獲得這樣的升級,確實是物超所值;不過實測下來也知道雖然規格擴增不少,與標準電壓或是桌面版的處理器仍然有一段的差距,問題主要是在為了顧及功耗,而必須要做的頻率降低,I7-8550U的額定頻率僅為1.8Ghz,在目前的消費級處理器而言算是偏低,不過單核的Turbo頻率能到4Ghz,在做單核測試時也常常可以看到4Ghz的出現,整體而言,效能約莫落在四代的標準電壓I7左右,能將這樣的CPU效能做在UltraBook處理器上,算是前所未有的創舉;整體而言對於一般文書應用的用戶,我會相當推薦I7-8550U打造出來的筆電,相差不多的價格能夠帶來不小的效能成長。當然也有不推薦的地方,I7-8550U的功耗配置雖然與I7-7500U皆為15瓦配置,但是I7-8550U的實際功耗是餘I7-7500U的,實際續航力可能較7500U而言偏低一些,並且8550U在四核全速運行時,頻率僅1.8~2.2Ghz,在單/雙核運行時才有可能運行在3Ghz以上,因此對於一些高時脈需求的應用而言,7500U的表現可能會比8550U還要高;另外文中首段有提到第八代U版處理器與第七代U版處理器腳位都是相容的,所以有許多廠商會直接將7500U的機器直接改成安裝8550U,雖然不是不行但是8550U的散熱需求是較7500U還要高,所以倘若該廠商的散熱設計原先就較為吃緊的話,再安裝上8550U可能會使其效能有大量的降低,因此8550U機型的挑選也是相當重要。這次Intel使用KabyLake Refresh來更新筆電處理器,或許整體看起來成效不差,豪華的規格的確帶來不少的效能增長,不過整體而言也略顯倉促,內建的顯示晶片更是只有名稱多了一個"U"以及透過調高頻率來做出一點點的區隔,這樣的策略或許在桌面版可行,但是在能源、散熱捉襟見肘的筆電上是否是個好做法,就待市場給予我們答案吧。
