QIoT Suite Lite以廣受歡迎的開源套件-Node-RED與Freeboard為基礎，讓使用者迅速建構理想的IoT情境，不僅支援多種通訊協定（如：MQTT、HTTP、CoAP等）及儀表控制面板等應用，更可結合開發板及感應器。只要預先於QIoT Suite Lite中設定好規則引擎（Rules Engine）與資料儀表板，就能立即啟動IoT應用。QIoT Suite Lite亦提供MQTTs及HTTPs，確保連線安全。
QIoT Suite Lite提供多種可供IoT裝置使用的快速安裝導覽（Quick setup wizard），如：以Python與Node.js為基礎的Quick Setup Wizard（目前提供Arduino Yun、Raspberry Pi、Intel Edison等三種開發板），幫助使用者輕鬆置入使用，省去繁瑣的程式撰寫與套件搜尋時間，用最快速度與最少人力開啟物聯網的智慧情境。
