Intel近期推出了Broadwell-E的新一代旗艦處理器，不過這次沒有搭配新的晶片組，沿用2014下半年所推出的X99系列晶片組，近期許多廠商也紛紛推出X99晶片組改版產品，這次要介紹由華碩ASUS所推出的X99-A II，X99-A II是由 X99-A/USB 3.1改款而來，並加入新功能設計與軟體搭配，讓整體規格更加完備，硬體部分8 DIMM DDR4記憶體插槽設計，最高容量可達128GB，最高頻率支援至3333MHz，PCIe插槽有3組PCIe 3.0 x16、PCIe 2.0 x16、2組PCIe 2.0 x1，在PCIe 3.0 x16會因為使用不同CPU會有不同的頻寬，並支援NVIDIA 3-Way SLI與AMD 3-Way CF，在第一組PCIe x16導入SafeSlot，儲存介面部分有一組 M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4、U.2介面(支援PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe)、SATA Express (需占用兩組SATA介面)、8組 SATA 6Gb/s，網路部分採用Intel I218-V並有防凸波保護，音效部分從Crystal Sound 2升級為Crystal Sound 3，採用Realtek ALC1150音效晶片搭配音效放大器與日本音效電容，USB部分採用ASMedia USB 3.1控制晶片，支援USB3.1 Type-A與USB 3.1 Type-C，規格相當齊全與強悍，現在就看改頭換面再出發的華碩ASUS X99-A II。

這次Intel所推出Broadwell-E新一代旗艦處理器，採用14nm製程Tri-Gate 3D電晶體架構生產，腳位維持LGA 2011-v3，並沿用上一代X99晶片組，不只微架構世代演進，核心數量上從既有8與6核心，加入10核心旗艦級Core i7-6950X，至於其一代霸主Core i7-5960X，由同為8核心Core i7-6900K接棒，Core i7-6900K 時脈設定為基礎3.2GHz、Turbo Boost 3.7GHz，快取記憶體20MB，內建40條PCIe 3.0通道，為TDP 140W，Broadwell-E新增支援Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0，讓效能更加亮眼。

X99晶片組與前一代X79晶片組最大不同處在於導入了 Flexible I/O 技術，Flexible I/O 是Intel為了讓晶片組有更靈活應用，在以往晶片組功能上，SATA Port就是SATA Port，無法變成其他訊號來使用，現在有了Flexible I/O則是可以將SATA訊號定義成為PCI-E通道，也就是說同一個Port可以定義成SATA Port或是定義成PCI-E通道，X99晶片組總共有22個I/O，USB 3.0 4組、6條PCI-E、8組SATA 6Gb/s，剩餘的4個I/O可以被定義為USB 3.0、PCI-E或者是SATA 6Gb/s，但PCI-E部分最多定義2條。

ASUS X99-A II是 X99-A/USB 3.1後繼產品，延續價格親民的X99系列產品，用料上毫不馬虎，配件上也相當齊全，可滿足X99玩家的需求，除了這次新增加的功能外，延續了OC Socket CPU腳位設計，擁有相當不錯的超頻幅度與穩定度，除可支援128GB記憶體外，記憶體頻率可達3333MHz，可擁有更棒的記憶體效能表現，超頻部分經實際超頻後發現相當輕鬆，僅調整電壓與倍頻即可超頻成功，不過要注意的是散熱部分，這次測試僅使用空冷散熱器，超頻至4.2GHz後再往上即無法壓制住i7-6800K的熱情；這次X99-A II在PCIe插槽上做了強化，採用上金屬片強化焊點與接地，避免厚重的顯示卡導致PCIe插槽受損，音效部分升級至Crystal Sound 3技術，提供相當不錯的音效品質，在儲存部分直接可以安裝U.2裝置，不需要使用轉接卡，相當方便且使用者不用再苦惱還要添購轉接卡，另外也支援了M.2介面，真的可滿足各種需求的玩家，想要追求高效能儲存裝置，在這張主機板都可以一次滿足；外觀上這次導入相當酷炫的發光設計，在音效區域、PCH、PCIe卡榫都能透過軟體設定發光模式與燈光顏色，還可以直接安裝RGB LED燈條，透過AURA軟體就能控制燈光特效和顏色；軟體部分這次整合了相當多功能，方便使用者直接作系統的調整，讓整台電腦的效能與省電可以針對使用者做最完美的調校，整體來說ASUS X99-A II雖然不是最頂級的款式，但功能相當齊全，在效能表現與超頻表現上也相當出色，有興趣的玩家可別錯過這款CP值還不錯的ASUS X99-A II。
搶到頭香，X99看起來就挺厲害的，可惜上不到4.5GHz真的是壓制住CPU的熱情哩
