這次平台使用 Intel Core i7-6700K 處理器搭配最新的 Z170 晶片組主機板，由微星 MSI 提供，型號是 Z170A XPOWER Gaming Titanium Edition，以及 GeIL Dragon RAM DDR4 白金龍魂超頻記憶體 DDR4-3000，兩款零組件都是銀白設計，互相搭配頗有整體感，毫無違和感，視覺上相當享受；另外，儲存裝置使用 Intel SSD 750 400GB PCIe SSD，顯卡是 MSI GTX 950 Gaming 2G，電供則是全漢 FSP AURUM 92+皇鈦極系列850W型號。
整體的規格相當強悍，作為超頻平台使用是再適合不過。

微星現場也有提供多項產品讓玩家體驗把玩；攤位上擺設了超頻平台所使用的各項單品，包括了Z170晶片組主機板－ Z170A XPOWER Gaming Titanium Edition，還有 MSI GTX950 GAMING 2G；另外還有跟知名電玩遊戲《虹彩六號：圍攻行動》聯名的 MSI Z170A Krait GAMING R6 SIEGE 主機板。
比較特別的是 MSI 現場準備了一組Oculus VR 虛擬實境設備供玩家體驗，同樣也是由微星零組件所推動的，吸引不少玩家駐足體驗。

主持人開場｜活動揭開序幕
活動由主持人開場便揭開超頻體驗賽事的序幕。在簡單講解完本次超頻體驗賽事的基本規格之後，XFastest 的 超頻達人 Gary 也上台分享超頻二三事與自己心得給現場玩家。
賽事基本規格說明：
共五組超頻平台，為求公平，故由超頻參賽選手於賽前抽取號碼牌，藉以選擇對應的超頻平台；賽事中，選手不得變更平台設備，僅可允許使用主辦方提供的零組件設備及主機板 BIOS 做參數調教，並以三款跑分測試軟體做超頻性能的量測，測試軟體分為 ① AS-SSD ② Cinebench R15 ③Super Pi（8M）。比賽限時40分鐘，選手需於時限內跑出Cinebench R15 及 Super Pi 的最佳成績，截圖並告知工作人員以便紀錄。綜合四場資格賽事的跑分成績前五強之玩家，即可晉級台北決賽。

Intel 超頻體驗賽｜高雄場－第二場次
很快地，活動進行到第二場次的超頻體驗賽。活動流程一樣，主持人與超頻達人 Gary 解說、分享超頻體驗賽的規則與超頻心得，再由玩家抽籤分配超頻平台，之後便開始體驗賽事。第二場次特別的是，首次有女性玩家參賽，而因為一般既定印象就是女生比較不熟悉電腦操作，更別說是進階的電腦超頻參數設定，而女性超頻玩家可說是完全顛覆了刻板印象，所以也吸引到了現場不少關注目光。

小插曲｜超頻體驗賽高雄場 TOP 5 超頻玩家的晉級獎品
第三場次的比賽過程中，主辦方工作人員也公布了高雄場次的晉級獎品，是 Intel Extreme Masters（IEM）的獎品包，內含有電競耳機、腕套、毛巾、...等等，滿豐富的；而Intel Extreme Masters（IEM）是 Intel 所舉辦的電競賽事，近期將在 1/29~2/3 時在 2016 台北國際電玩展中，共同舉辦多場電競賽事，像是CS：GO、《星海爭霸II：虛空之遺》。
