【開箱測試】進化的外接硬碟座，USB 3.0/eSATA兩相好 ICY DOCK MB981U3-1S v2.0 (圖多,不喜勿入)

今年四月曾經玩過這款硬碟散熱器的第一代產品(MB981U3-1S)，曾發過
開箱文(有興趣的讀者可自行爬文)，當時有一個缺憾是不提供eSATA。
歷經了大半個年頭，終於推出了第二代具eSATA功能的硬碟座。


以下為簡單數位相機拍照，若有不清楚傷眼處，請見諒。


這是第一代的產品外盒，當初吸引我的是它支援USB 3.0 UASP功能。

盒子下方底層擺著變壓器，若您接的是3.5" HDD或是eSATA界面就需要
這囉，若接的是2.5" HDD/SSD，並採USB 3.0與主機串接，就不是很需
要變壓器，但視您的2.5" HDD/SSD耗電量而定。

硬碟座上方俯視圖，中間大大圓鈕是電源開關，支援2.5"及3.5"儲存
裝置，要退出3.5" HDD，只需按下左下方處就可以退出。

把中間檔板下壓，可看到SATA接頭，很可惜的是它無法同時安裝2.5"
或3.5"儲存裝置，僅能擇一使用。

本篇以SSD接於Marvel 9230作為SATA測試基準，比較裸接與透過MB981U3-1S v2.0
的USB 3.0及eSATA差異值。


因為外盒強調UASP Support，加上第一代是採用ASmedia 1053E，因此，
經系統測試也是一樣是ASmeida 1053E。

將所有的數值作個總結表，比較HDD與SSD透過此裝置的傳輸耗損率為何？
可發現若透過eSATA傳輸，不僅效能已蠻接近內接，且支援eSATA 6Gb/s，
但是USB 3.0傳輸，因為USB 3.0 4K相關讀寫較弱，而拖累了整體表現。

測試結論

優點
1. 提供獨立電源開關及也提供2.5" HDD/SSD僅透過USB 3.0供電即可使用。
2. eSATA傳輸模式接近於內接，並可上到eSATA 6Gb/s。
3. 雙模式給予使用者不同使用彈性。
4. 簡單免螺絲使用。


缺點
1. ASMedia 1053E的韌體若能調校，讓4K讀寫提高就更棒了。

經原廠私訊告知其產品可能誤置彩盒，MB981U3-1S v2.0
與第一代同樣只有USB 3.0傳輸介面，不具eSATA功能。
小弟買到的是MB981U3S-1S這咖產品，只有MB981U3S-1S
這個型號才同時具有USB 3.0 & eSATA 雙規格，算是小弟
賺到了。
