這幾年網路蓬勃發展，手持式行動裝置也跟著蓬勃發展，每個人對於硬碟存取空間需求越來越大，以前下載資料音樂頂多是320k取樣，現在大家都會下載無損類型的檔案，影片以前是480p或是720p，現在許多人都會下載高清的1080p或是藍光的無損檔案，而這些資料下載型態的轉變，用量都是以前的好幾倍，最明顯的是影片檔，720p檔案頂多10GB以內(一部)，現在1080p要10~20GB左右，如果是藍光無損檔案容量高達30~50GB左右；在這樣的環境下，許多玩家以前是使用電腦當動物機長時間下載資料，現在NAS功能越趨強大，不再是只有備份資料的功能，現在已整合許多功能與應用，足以取代動物機，還可以提供多媒體播放中心，還可以利用行動裝置做簡單設定與操作外，並可做影音串流功能；這次主要介紹近期WD所推出的Red系列最大容量6TB與Synology DS415play，Red系列針對家庭與小型辦公室NAS系統 (1~8 Bay)設計，適合個人用戶與小型企業使用，這次6TB推出也順便將WD獨家的NASware更新至3.0版本，並且與各家NAS大廠通過相容性測試，採用24x7使用環境設計，轉數為5700轉，保固部分原廠提供3年保固；Synology DS415play 4Bay NAS採用Intel Atom CE5335 1.6GHz 雙核心四執行緒處理器具備硬體編解碼能力的 SoC，搭配1GB DDR3記憶體，內建了GbE RJ45、USB 3.0*2、USB 2.0*3，這款NAS操作介面相當人性化，搭配自家的DSM5.0作業系統，並導入即時轉檔串流功能，可以將影片透過NAS即時轉成行動裝置能夠播放的格式，不管是新手或是老手都可以輕鬆上手，加上App可自行安裝，要下載BT、開農場…等各種應用可以說是輕鬆簡單，另外原廠還提供了不少行動裝置App可以讓NAS與行動裝置間做資料存取或是影音串流，還可以遠端設定下載檔案，回到家就可以看今天的下載收穫!!現在就來看看WD Red 6TB NAS專用硬碟與Synology DS415play會蹦出什麼火花嚕^^

這次架設的WD Red 6TB NAS專用硬碟搭配群輝Synology DS415play感覺相當不錯，硬碟部分這次WD所推出的高容量6TB Red系列產品表現相當不錯，雖然轉速只有5700轉，在電腦端所跑出來的測試成績相當亮眼，某些測試程式成績可達到170MB/s左右的水準表現，並搭配獨家的NASware 3.0韌體技術，可提供在NAS系統下使用RAID環境最佳的效能與穩定度，WD Red使用3D Active Balance Plus技術，可增加硬碟使用壽命外，並可降低因硬碟放置不平衡而導致震動或噪音，進而造成硬碟壽命嚴重打折；WD的Red系列硬碟來說長時間工作環境是基本訴求，並且搭配RAID使用，在設計上與韌體的搭配上就必須針對這種嚴苛的環境做設計，以達到最佳表現與效能，WD Red系列產品針對家庭與小型企業NAS系統設計(1~8 Bay)，適合一般玩家與小型企業使用，可讓使用者可以輕鬆擁有海量的備份空間，並可以做各種多媒體應用，不論是影音串流還是檔案分享功能，NAS都是可以輕鬆做到；WD針對Red系列保固期限為3年保固，讓使用者享有較長的保固期限與較佳的保固品質。
在NAS部分群輝Synology DS415play採用Intel Atom CE5335 1.6GHz 雙核心四執行緒處理器具備硬體編解碼能力的 SoC，搭配1GB DDR3記憶體，內建了GbE RJ45、USB 3.0*2、USB 2.0*3，硬體部分的配置算是相當不錯；資料傳輸效能部分表現還算不錯，採用RAID5+Spare模式傳輸寫入最高可達100.3MB/s 讀取最高可達116.4MB/s(ATTO Disk Benchmark)，在RAID0模式傳輸寫入最高可達113.5MB/s 讀取最高可達117.7MB/s(ATTO Disk Benchmark)；在操作介面方面相當人性化，搭配自家的DSM5.0作業系統，並導入即時轉檔串流功能，可以將影片透過NAS即時轉成行動裝置能夠播放的格式，加上App可自行安裝，要下載BT、開農場、架式VPN、影音串流…等各種應用，整體應用性與功能來說相當強大，另外原廠還整合了不少行動裝置App可以讓NAS與行動裝置間做資料存取或是影音串流、線上音樂播放器讓NAS內的音樂直接播放至手機上、整合相機與相簿同步功能、還可以遠端設定下載檔案，操作控制介面與行動裝置類似，讓使用者感覺相當的容易適應與上手。
