Z97在5月11後正式解禁後，各家主機板大廠紛紛推出Z97系列產品，雖然與原先Z87架構差異不大，Intel 新一代9系列晶片組率先推出產品名為“Z97”搭配Intel新一代Haswell Refresh處理器，不過這次的Z97還是可以搭配前一代的Haswell處理器使用，Z97身為搭配新一代Haswell Refresh處理器9系列晶片組主推的產品系列，Z97晶片組提供1組M.2、6組SATA 6G、PCI-e 3.0、6組USB3.0，Z97同樣支援Intel RST技術和Smart Response Technology技術，Z97也支援K系列CPU的倍頻調整功能與內部整合顯示核心倍頻調整；這次微星推出OC超頻系列的新產品Z97 MPOWER，產品型號延續了前一代的命名，這次的小改版最主要導入了M.2 PCI-e儲存介面，在散熱模組與前一代做出了一點小改變，網路卡部分改用Intel I218-V Gigabit 網路控制器，其他細節就來看圖說故事嚕^^

這次微星推出的Z97 MPOWER最主要除了加上M.2的傳輸介面外，在CPU供電散熱模組也做了些修改，用料上維持一貫傳統的軍規用料外，網路卡改用Intel晶片，提供更佳的網路品質；在超頻表現也是相當的出色，CPU採用12相供電，將CPU超頻至4.5GHz也是小菜一盤而已；Audio部分採用Realtek ALC1150 Audio晶片搭配雙TI OP1652做後級輸出，提供絕佳的音效品質與效果，玩遊戲或是看電影都是相當過癮的；M.2效能部分相當不錯，搭配效能出色的裝置可以達到相當不錯的效果，如果拿來當開機碟來使用可以說是如虎添翼，當然M.2可選擇使用PCIE與STAT兩種介面，PCIE的效能較為出色，不過價格就比較高了些；I/O部分相當豐富，比較可惜的是缺少了D-Sub與DVI介面，如果使用的螢幕較為舊款就必須要裝一張顯示卡拉；MPOWER系列主打就是超頻系列，在BIOS內的各項調校項目相當多，可依照使用者需求做調整，當然使用者也必須具備一些超頻知識與能力才可以駕馭這張MPOWER；微星原廠並提供5年保固，比一般系列主機板多了2年保固， 使用者可以相當放心MPOWER的品質與用料。
