大概在2004年時就已經開始談內建IGP與外接式VGA達成效能提升的運算整合,一直到Hybrid Graphic的正式於08年2月發表後才算真正達成!
除了桌上型電腦支援外連筆記型電腦也有支援~!!!
Introducing ATI Hybrid Graphics Technology
ATI Hybrid Graphics is a ground-breaking technology featuring multi-GPU performance capabilities, automatic power state adjustment for power-savings, and multi-display functionality. This AMD platform technology enhances the user experience by combining an AMD 780 Chipset with integrated graphics and a discrete ATI Radeon™ HD 3000 Series or ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3000 Series GPU so they work co-operatively yet independently of each other to bring enhanced gaming performance, productivity and platform power efficiency to the mainstream PC. ATI Hybrid Graphics includes the following technologies:
ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ Technology
Based on ATI CrossFireX™ multi-GPU technology, ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ takes the gaming experience on a mainstream Windows Vista® PC1 to the next level. When combining an AMD 780 Chipset with an integrated GPU and a discrete ATI Radeon™ HD 3400 Series2 or ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3400 Series GPU, ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ combines the GPU performance and delivers high-quality gaming images onto a single display.
ATI SurroundView™ Technology
ATI Hybrid Graphics technology enables ATI SurroundView™ which provides support for 4 independent monitors when an applicable integrated GPU is combined with a discrete GPU. Each additional discrete GPU supports 2 or more independent monitors. The integrated graphics processor and the discrete graphics processor work in parallel to drive multiple displays for superior productivity.
ATI PowerPlay™ Technology
ATI PowerPlay™ power management technology enables the GPU to automatically adjust between low, medium and high states for efficiency and performance-on-demand. For example, when emailing there is less demand on the GPU and it runs in a low state and when gaming it runs in high state to provide the additional power needed to play demanding titles. ATI PowerPlay does not require both an integrated graphics processor and a discrete graphics processor in order to operate.
ATI PowerXpress™ Technology (Available on notebook PCs using Windows Vista® OS)
ATI PowerXpress™ dynamically switches (no reboot required) in real time between an ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3400 series graphics processor and an integrated graphics processor. Experience superior discrete graphics performance while plugged in, or switch to energy efficient integrated graphics when on-the-go to help extend battery life.
How ATI Hybrid Graphics Technology Works
Desktop PCs
Start with a motherboard based on the AMD 780 Chipset with integrated ATI Radeon™ Graphics. Next, add an ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series graphics card. The result is a potent performance and productivity combination called ATI Hybrid Graphics.
The specific combination of the ATI Radeon HD 3400 graphics card and the motherboard with an AMD 780 chipset turns on ATI Hybrid CrossFireX™ and ATI SurroundView™ technology. Always present with the ATI Radeon HD 3000 Series is ATI PowerPlay™ power management technology.
Notebook PCs
Notebooks with ATI Hybrid Graphics have similar hardware features but add the benefits of ATI PowerXpress™ technology which provides on-the-fly switching between the integrated graphics and discrete graphics processors. Look for notebooks with the ATI Hybrid Graphics logo to get the performance, efficiency and productivity.
Flexible and Friendly
ATI Hybrid Graphics is extremely flexible and user friendly. No user intervention is required to turn on performance with ATI Hybrid CrossFireX, users have a choice of how to connect to their monitor or monitors, and when gaming, additional monitors do not “go black”.

1.對於一般使用者而言,Hybrid Graphics這是一個突破性的創新,依預算及效能需求可以適時的搭配出極佳的PC運算模式,此外780G在解H.264 、VC-1、MPEG-2 上游刃有餘
面對當前的高清市場普及有一定程度的助力
2.目前2400PRO、2400XT、3450、3470搭上780 chipset series才能運作,希冀日後AMD(ATI)能延伸至中階卡以上,eg.3650、3850 甚至是3870X2
(依4系列的發布,3系列相對廠家大力拋售,走在新時代脈動的玩家們相繼脫手,若能於相容性提升 run Hybrid Graphics、play 高清、甚至是game效能及畫面偵數流暢無窒礙,在當前AMD CPU的價格優勢下,這塊市場大餅大有可為)
DIY整合式晶片組ATI還真有優勢...以平價板子來說這片也提供了五相供電,大工耗的4核也可穩跑!不錯囉 目前隸屬I陣營,,,,不然似乎是A陣營的另一項好選擇:)... 那自家的790GX呢?:)... :)... 鳴兄好測試, 如果 Foxconn 能有 onboard 的DDR3 會更有看頭 這張應該是4+1相的電源設計...
且每相都有3顆mosfet...
跟其他小版子相比~~算是用料很好的版子:kiss:...
